What our organization offers:
Subjects / Categories:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
The Center for Wooden Boats promotes northwest maritime heritage through education, interpretation and hands-on experience in building, maintaining and using historic small craft. We value hands-on learning and the practice of traditional maritime skills. We believe the joy of being on the water in boats should be available to all without economic or cultural barriers. We believe in empowering youth to reach their full potential by providing challenging learning experiences.

-

The Center for Wooden Boats supports youth as they develop the skills, abilities and attitudes necessary to enjoy life and contribute to the community. Programs target age-appropriate skill sets and are designed to build on each other so youth can come back summer after summer to play, learn and grow.
