OrKIDstra Family Day Concert | Bremerton Symphony Association

Please join us for our annual OrKIDstra concert – a music program designed especially for young audiences. Every instrument is a soloist star in Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra as Maestro Futterman moves through woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion - a perfect introduction to the sights and sounds of the symphony! Then, a special narrated story will be shared up on the big screen featuring the beloved Spanish bull from the classic children’s book, “The Story of Ferdinand" by Munro Leaf to include music from Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen.

Olympia Family Theater presents Wild Fire and the Bird Scouts

The fledglings of Bird Scout Troop #7 are on their first ever annual migration when they find themselves lost in a forest that’s been ravaged by fire. On their quest to rejoin their flock, the scouts must overcome encounters with a desperate predator, an ancient oak tree, and Wildfire herself. Wildfire and the Bird Scouts is a story about the way we ask the next generation to solve the problems that we have created. It’s about ingenuity and resilience in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. And it’s about the way our environment is changing irrevocably. Written by Kristin Idaszak. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
