Get ready for a fun back to school party at The Fremont Social Kids Fest! Join us Sunday, August 30 from 4–8 PM for an unforgettable family glow party packed with music, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, bubbles, dancing, glow bracelets, and more. Admission is $35 per family and includes all activities!

Preserved in Time is now open! During the 19th century, traders, settlers, and Native peoples relied on a variety of traditional techniques to not only prevent food spoilage but also transform seasonal produce and butchered meats into provisions for use in later months. At the heart of these preservation practices were curing, smoking, brining, and canning—methods that required skill, patience, and an understanding of changing seasons.

Kids of all abilities can explore our children's play area located in the Side Gallery, adjacent to the Great Gallery. Young intrepid flyers can strap into flight harnesses to test their piloting skills in one of two hang gliding simulators. An aircraft instrumentation area helps kids learn what it takes to control a flying machine. Sit in the cockpits and operate the controls of a real Rotorway Scorpion helicopter, Thorp T-18 homebuilt aircraft, and a P-47D replica. Conduct high-speed aerodynamic experiments examining the performance of a variety of shapes in a wind machine.
