Pipsqueak Piano Preschool Program

A Unique Parent and Child Piano Experience

This is a parent and child preschool piano program designed for children ages 2 through 5. Each family enrolls in the class that best matches their child's current age and developmental stage:

2T ,    3T ,  or   4T to 5T

Classes meet every weekend. Each lesson lasts approximately 25 minutes and includes both group instruction and individual time with your teacher.

Pipsqueak Piano is built around each child's individual growth. Every student follows their own musical journey while learning alongside a small group of 2 to 4 children and their parents. When a student demonstrates readiness for the next class level, they may progress with their teacher's recommendation, regardless of age or how long they have been enrolled.

Some children complete the entire Pipsqueak curriculum and transition into private piano lessons before their sixth birthday, while others enjoy spending more time mastering each level. There is no required timeline. Students may join throughout the year and remain in each class as long as it continues to meet their needs.

Our goal is to build a lifelong foundation in the language of music while allowing every child to develop confidence and musical understanding at their own pace.

What Makes Pipsqueak Piano Different?

Pipsqueak Piano is the only preschool piano curriculum of its kind, specifically created for children ages 2 through 5. What makes Pipsqueak Piano truly unique is that children are not relying on colored stickers or visual shortcuts. Instead, our step by step curriculum teaches preschoolers to recognize piano patterns, identify note names, and connect those notes to written music in ways that match their natural stages of learning. Just as preschoolers are learning numbers, letters, symbols, and patterns, they also learn to recognize musical patterns and confidently find notes on the keyboard, building real music reading skills and piano coordination from the very beginning.

Children begin playing from their very first lessons while learning important musical foundations including:

• Piano geography

• Rhythm

• Music reading

• Finger numbers

• Listening skills

• Musical patterns

• Early music theory

• Fine motor development

• Confidence through achievement

Our proven curriculum teaches much more than piano. It helps develop math skills, literacy, concentration, creativity, discipline, and critical thinking through engaging, age appropriate activities.

Research consistently shows that early piano education supports healthy brain development while improving hand eye coordination, listening skills, confidence, creativity, and problem solving.

What to Expect Each Week

Each lesson is attended by both the parent and child.

During class your family will:

• Participate in an engaging group piano lesson.

• Receive individual guidance from your Pipsqueak Piano teacher.

• Work on activities that are personalized for your child's current level.

• Build confidence through games, songs, movement, and hands on learning.

Each student is assigned their own classroom piano during their first lesson. That piano remains at the school and is reserved for your child each week.

Because classroom instruments remain at the school, every family should have a piano or keyboard available at home for weekly practice.

Your Pipsqueak Piano lesson books are included with enrollment at no additional cost. These books belong to your family and are taken home each week. Please remember to bring your books back to every lesson.

Home Practice

Learning happens best when children practice a little each week.

We ask every family to spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes practicing at home between lessons. Practice should be fun, relaxed, and positive.

Each week we encourage parents to share a short practice update with their teacher through our private WhatsApp group. This can be:

• A short video

• A photo

• A quick message

These updates allow teachers to celebrate progress, answer questions, encourage consistency, and reward students for their hard work while creating a supportive community among families.

Tuition and Enrollment

Tuition is $25 per class session, billed automatically every four weeks.

Your tuition includes:

• Weekly 25 minute parent and child piano lessons

• Small group instruction

• Individual teacher guidance

• Complete Pipsqueak Piano curriculum

• All lesson books

• Classroom materials

• Use of the classroom piano during lessons

If you know your child will miss a class, simply let us know before the lesson. Communicated absences will be credited or deducted from your next billing cycle.

Absences without prior notice are not eligible for credits, refunds, or make up lessons.

Automatic billing occurs every four weeks. You may cancel your enrollment at any time with written or verbal notice.

Open to Everyone

This program is open to the entire community. Your child does not need to attend Stepping Stones Preschool to enroll.
