Chess for All Ages | Covington Library

Kids, teens and adults of all skill levels, play and practice chess! Players new to chess should attend the Beginner Lessons. Each session will include a video lesson for beginners and a separate video lesson with more advanced chess strategy.
Ages 5 and older, ages 8 and younger must attend with an adult who will participate in the program with the child.
Registration not required. Space and supplies are limited.

- 4-4:30pm: Beginner Lesson-Each week, learn things like how different pieces move, how to set up a chess board and how to end a game.
- 4:30-4:45pm: Lesson for all levels
- 4:45-5:30pm: Free play for all levels
