Digital Character Design and Illustration Camp, ages 9-15

This camp will take you through the character creation process, from idea to finalized concept, in a digital art context. It will go over important art topics such as: shape language, color theory, line weight, and light and shadow. As well as other skills such as: how to work in a digital art program, reference researching, sketching, and character posing will also be taught.

This camp will take you through the character creation process, from idea to

finalized concept, in a digital art context. It will go over important art topics such as: shape language, color theory, line weight, and light and shadow. As well as other skills such as: how to work in a digital art program, reference researching, sketching, and character posing will also be taught. Campers will come up with a character concept and complete a final digital illustration of their character by the end of camp.

 

Class Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be ages 9 and up.
  • Must be able to focus for 2.5 hrs.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Must be respectful to instructor and other campers.
  • Bring a water bottle and snack.
  • No early drop offs.
