*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 04/10/2023
Hop around Auburn's parks and trails in search of the elusive bunny, who'll be hidden in various locations around Auburn. Find the bunny, have a chance to win prizes and have a blast doing it! This will be a fun and safe event for families, Seniors, our Specialized Recreation Community or anyone looking for an opportunity to get outside and get active in an outdoor setting.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Here's how it works:

  1. Print the Bunny Scorecard (PDF),  if you wish, or bring something on your search to track your bunnies such as a notepad and pen, smartphone or tablet. Note: you do NOT need to email scorecards. Submit details on the On-line Scorecard Submission Form. Printed scorecards (for tracking purposes only) will also be available, beginning April 3 during normal business hours at:
    • Auburn Community & Event Center, 910 Ninth Street SE, available 24/7 in a pamphlet holder April 3 - 10.
    • White River Valley Museum, 918 H Street SE
    • Auburn Grocery Outlet, 102 Cross Street SE
    • Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro, 118 Auburn Way S
    • Red Canoe Credit Union, 1620 Lake Tapps Pkwy E, #101
      • bring your scorecard or tracking device into the Lakeland Hills Red Canoe Credit Union branch for a special treat!
    • Haggen Food & Pharmacy, 1406 Lake Tapps Pkwy E
    • Downtown Auburn Cooperative, 262 East Main Street
    • Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, 268 E Main Street
  2. On Thursday, April 6 at 8:00 PM, we will release a list of parks where bunnies are hiding.  Note: for those of you with special needs two of the parks will have more accessible bunnies which are in view from the trail/path to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers and wagons.
  3. All bunnies will look like this example bunny image. Bunnies are approximately 12" tall. Each bunny has a unique number. Please don't take the bunnies so everyone can enjoy this activity. Please don't move the bunnies so we can keep them safe from mowers and other maintenance equipment.
  4. Search for bunnies during park hours, April 7 - 10. You will need to find a minimum of ten bunnies. In most cases, you may need to visit two or more parks to complete your scorecard. Print our scorecard (PDF) or bring something to track your bunnies.
  5. Complete the On-line Bunny Scorecard Submission Form. The on-line scorecard will contain contact information and 10 spaces to indicate the bunnies that you found. There will also be the opportunity to share photos or comments with us. We enjoy hearing from you! The on-line scorecard will be available until 11:59 PM on Monday, April 10. Sorry, no late entries.
  6. Each person who participates must submit their own scorecard. Adults are welcome to play too! Duplicate entries will be deleted.
  7. Winners will be selected at random and emailed by April 17.
