If the camp you want is sold out, contact us to join the waitlist call (360) 956-0818 ext. 103 or email reservations@hocm.org. We actively work from the waitlist to fill any spots that come available before advertising to the general public.

Ages 3-5
April 1-5, 2024 | Half-Day Camps (Monday–Friday)
Grow with us as you immerse yourself in the wonderful world of spring! Prepare to get your hands dirty as you plant seeds, arrange flowers, and create art from nature.
Children must be able to use the restroom independently. Age 5 qualifies for additional camp options, see spring camps for ages 5-7.
NEW! Budding Botanist
(Monday – Friday) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
It’s the growing season and it’s time to get your hands dirty! Choose and plant your own seeds, dissect plants and examine them under the microscope, make mud soup, pound plant prints, and learn the basics of flower arranging. This sensory exploration of soil, seeds, and leaves will prepare young gardeners for planting and harvesting adventures all spring and summer!--
Ages 5-7

Explore the world through nature and cooking! Harvest, craft, and learn about seasonal plants. Then adventure around the globe to discover new food and cultural traditions.
Children must be able to use the restroom independently. Age 5 qualifies for additional camp options, see spring camps for ages 3-5. Age 7 qualifies for additional camp options, see spring camps for ages 7-9.
NEW! Spring Celebration
(Monday – Friday) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Come celebrate the turning of the season with art and science adventures! Create your own wearable greenhouse, learn about our seasonal plants in the children’s garden, and harvest early spring treasure! We will learn about some of our native plants and their properties as we make our own plant apothecary and explore weaving with natural materials on a communal tapestry.
Inspired Chefs: Cooking Around the World
(Monday – Friday) 1:15 PM – 4:15 PM
Cook through a different time zone each day with adventurous recipes from around the globe! Press your own tortillas, roll out pasta, and try a new kind of fruit! Each day will focus on introducing young chefs to new cooking techniques, flavors, and cultural traditions! Chop, mix, munch and learn!

Ages 7-9

It’s time to create! Engage your imagination, craft your prototypes, and decide what design makes the final cut.
Children must be able to use the restroom independently. Age 7 qualifies for additional camp options, see spring camps for ages 5-7.
Maker Series: Marvelous Makers
(Monday – Friday) 1:15 PM – 4:15 PM
Let’s roll up our sleeves, assemble our tools, and create! This special Makers camp merges art, science, and engineering. Campers will pursue their own designs for everything from structures to fashion, construct prototypes and models, and do it all again when their first idea doesn’t make the cut. We’ll use sewing machines and hot glue, fabric and cardboard, wood and plastic: everything new and scavenged has a place in the makers’ repertoire!
