*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/27/2021
We are excited to announce that Day Camps at the Woodland Park Zoo will return in summer 2021! We’re planning for the same camp fun you’re used to but with a few changes including podded groups, primarily outdoor programming, and mask policies for campers and staff. We can’t wait to spend the summer with you!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Woodland Park Zoo Camps inspire children to make conservation a priority in their lives by advancing their STEAM skills, building connections to nature, and exploring the animals of our world.

Woodland Park Zoo offers school-year break camps and summer camp. Camp dates follow Seattle Public Schools' calendar.

Camps are divided into tiers by camper age. Each tier offers developmentally appropriate curricula that support Next Generation Science Standards. Curricula themes are centered around the zoo's mission to save wildlife and inspire everyone to make conservation a priority in their lives.

Classes & Camps Scholarships

Sliding scale scholarships are offered for Woodland Park Zoo classes and camps while funds are available.

The process for requesting financial assistance has changed and is now part of our online registration system.

During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to select whether you’d like to apply for a scholarship, and provide some basic information pertaining to your request. Completing that information will trigger the system to allow you to “check out” while paying a minimum fee of $0. This reserves your program selection while staff review your application. Please be aware, your account balance and shopping cart will show the full cost of the program until a staff member is able to review your request and adjust program fees accordingly. All applications will be reviewed by zoo staff, and an updated statement of charges with adjusted program fees will be sent following review.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at camps@zoo.org if you have any questions. We are happy to walk you through this new process.
