Kid-Struction Zone (ages 2-7) - Museum of History and Industry

Create your own fun in MOHAI’s Kid-Struction Zone! Be the newest builder in Seattle, take time out to read a book, or enjoy the view of Lake Union. Rotating elements include a duplo table and tool bench, reading stations, historic photographs, magnet boards and a felt table, and graphic panels with ideas for building structures with blocks. For children 2–7 years old and their caregivers, Kid-Struction Zone helps young visitors learn through fun, hands-on interactions while stimulating curiosity and creativity.

TELUS International is looking for participants 7+ years and their pets to improve movement recognition technologies. We encourage you to register with your family, and don't forget about your dog or cat! Participants will be videoed on our premises in Georgetown-Seattle performing basic movements like walking, sitting down, and standing up. MLK Celebration Walks at Lake Sammamish State Park

Beginning Jan. 12, you can be inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr. as you take a winter walk at Lake Sammamish State Park. The walk pays tribute to his life and leadership while America celebrates MLK Day on January 17, 2022. The walk will begin at Tibbetts Beach and takes you along the lake shore to the Sunset Beach bathhouse. Learn about his life and his dreams with quotes along the pathway. Many of his quotes are as relevant today as they were in the 1960s when he initiated change while speaking out for civil rights. MLK's most famous speech— "I have a dream..." — is captured in its entirety at the end of the walk.
