The current community center opened its doors in 1996, replacing a much smaller building that was attached to nearby Nathan Hale High School and is now known as Meadowbrook Teen Life Center. The new center features a large, welcoming lobby that is filled with natural light and adorned with a number of art installations. Along with a full-sized gym, the large multipurpose room is the centerpiece of the facility and is used for a wide variety of classes and public events.
Seattle Parks and Recreation community centers have a wide array of drop-in, virtual and in-person programs !
Options include basketball, fitness rooms, pickleball, ping pong, volleyball, creative ballet, music, karate, yoga, fencing, and so much more.
